Education Sector
Sector Goals:

1. Creating an educational clearinghouse
   (Coordination, Information, Identification)
2. Promote and present education in a positive manner within the community
3. Support UMC as a key educational component in the Crookston community
4. Organize educational events

Healthcare and Human Services
Sector Goals:

1. Strategy to improve mental health for aging population
2. Develop a legislative strategy for insurance
3. Overcome cultural barriers in the healthcare industry
4. Develop outreach/enrollment resources to help people access health and human services coverage and other support services

Economic Vitality and Community Development
Sector Goals:

1. Business retention and succession for enhancement and sustainability
2. Promote Crookston as a bedroom community to encourage individuals to live in Crookston
3. Broaden economic and industrial base for future sustainability
4. Housing development initiative (Affordable/Middleclass/Upscale)
5. Selective historical preservation and revitalization

Community Leadership and Involvement
Sector Goals:

1. Marketing events & volunteer opportunities to increase awareness and Involvement
2. Encouraging and increasing multicultural leadership and involvement
3. Welcoming residing and future residents to increase community involvement

Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources
Sector Goals:

1. Creating a Community Center best suited toward the needs of the community
2. Supporting the development of the community trail system
3. Supporting the development of the Nature Conservancy
4. Supporting the development of recreational parks, diamonds and playing fields

Theater and Arts
Sector Goals:

1. Grand Theater
   a. Restoration
   b. Film Festival
   c. Theater Performance
2. Cathedral
   a. Restoration
   b. Art Gallery
3. Market and promote artistic opportunities to increase involvement
4. Support the development and continuation of the dance program
5. Collaborate with surrounding communities to continue and develop artistic programs within the Crookston community
